		<description>By &#039;refereed&#039;, do you mean you&#039;re the one doing the peer-review for someone else?  That&#039;s the only context I&#039;ve heard it used in.  Definitely having a peer-reviewed article of your own caries more weight - I&#039;m not even sure how you would add &#039;referee for some journal&#039; on your CV.  Not to mention I wasn&#039;t asked to be a referee until I already had a publication in the journal.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
