Shorter formatting for website endnote citation?
I’m finishing up endnotes for a history term paper and have run into a bit of a dilemma. I only have one electronic, primary source and when I was citing it, I looked in the citation guide and there is no short format for electronic sources when I refer to it more than once. There is a shorter format for books, but not for websites.
Do I have to type out the entire website citation again, or is there a shorter way once it has already been referred to?
Example:
(Book)
1 Robert D. Hare, PhD., Without Conscience: The disturbing world of the psychopaths among us (New York: Guilford Publications, Inc., 1999) 173.
2 Hare 173. <—shorter formatting
(Electronic Source)
5 “Dear Boss letter,” 1888., Casebook: Jack the Ripper, ed. Stephen P. Ryder, 2009, 14 March 2009 <http://www.casebook.org/ripper_letters>.
—->shorter formatting????
Any help will be greatly appreciated. My paper is due Monday and my professor will not get back to me in time. Thanks!
So "ibid" won’t work for that?
