   only once have i seen muzzle up with firearms, it was indoors with long barreld weapons (M16) with 20-30 of them in line to pick em up from an instructor and was on their way out to range , other than that yep totally agree . THats the only senerio(sp) it should be done as the safest direction would be where no one is at, and should a bullet be fired and exit the building, it would have no ballistic trajectory and i need a spell check…

    Guns are pointed up in movies only. Nowhere in proper firearms training do they teach muzzle up. It might look good on Miami Vice, but it’s not the proper stance in the real world. Muzzle up, just like double-wielding, belong in movies only.

    2) All guns are ALWAYS LOADED in your mind
    3) NEVER point the gun at yourself or anyone else, or anything else you don’t intend to shoot
    4) Muzzle up in the air if not ready to fire
    Almost impossible to have an accident where someone or something is damaged if you follow these simple rules. Very hard to learn quickly, like anything else, it takes time.

    Yeah I agree, finger off the trigger and just train to get to the trigger smoothly if you need it. Finger on the trig is asking for trouble. Anybody see that cop video where they have the perp detained and a lady cop is still pointing her pistol at the perp w/ finger on the trig? She gets startled, squeezes, and puts a round right next to his head. Bad news.

    Mr. Smith knows his stuff. Learned a lot watching his videos. The malfunction clearance videos are exceptional.
    Anyone have any recomendations on a really good gun belt like the one Smith is wearing?

    lol yea, your right. Before I handled real firearms, I trained with airsoft and co2, and it worked out well.
