How do I write a research paper on Twilight?
I have to do a research paper on Twilight by Stephenie Meyer for English. Any ideas on some topics? I have to include stuff about the author (but I already have stuff on that), cultural trends during the time of the novel’s publication (political, religious, social), and the novel’s impact on popular culture.
You could write about damsels in distress – whether Bella is or is not one about the role of females in the text.
You could write about immortality – how humans are the only creature (in real life) to know of mortality and that that is a part of being humans. How the vampires act differently because they are immortal. What that allows them to accomplish.
And in relation to the above ‘Human VS Non-Human’ – A topic which my english class covered last year but with Bladerunner (film-text) as the set text.
You could write about the series being inspired by old literature such as Pride and Prejudice, Romeo and Juliet and Wuthering heights, and about its modern-day take on that.

I think you should write about how Edward is Bella’s forbidden apple. The author said that the reason for the apple on the cover is because its suppossed to represent the forbidden apple of temptation. You could write about that and you can include the author. You can get a lot of information about her and her books on her web site which might help you write your paper.

i think the symbolism of some stuff in the book would be good, and maybe mention the movie a little. archetypical themes would be good, too.

Stephenie Meyer is a morman and that influanced her writing of Twilight. She wrote the series because she loved the process. I recomend going and checking out some of these websites, there is endless infomation about Twilight avaliable
